In view of the opening of the 12 new stations of the Circle Line (CC), SMRT has organised a carnival today at the Holland Village station. We took the EW train to Buona Vista station at about 5.30pm and then transit one stop to Holland V via the CC line.
The crowd was fantastic as the people thronged the Xchange passage way leading up to the carnival ground. As it was still early, we went to the nearby Lor Liput to have Katong laksa for dinner, followed by tea and cappucino (with a toasted bagel) at Starbucks.
As the evening drew deeper, the programmes and activities on the stage stepped up, drawing large crowd of people of different nationalities to it.
It was a relaxed Saturday for us, considering we've been quite busy for the past couple of weekends. This was a good marriage time too, which we could just have some time together to enjoy each other's company over life's simple pleasures.
