Nite Kite with I-J-K

Finally... Bernice's nieces and nephew came over to our home at our invitation to nite kite flying (where else but West Coast Park?)

After dinner at the nearby coffee shop (Joshua, as usual, had to have egg in his diet, and he certainly finished his meal faster now), we took a short walk across the West Coast highway to the park. We fixed up the kite and laid the ground sheet for some picnic refreshment (gala apples, dried mango slices, and caramel popcorns).

Tonite was kinda quiet as not too many kite enthusiasts turned up. Probably the wind was not good as we had two failed attempts, but we finally managed to get the kite up on the third try. Here's Joshua managing the reel as the kite (top red dot) and the thread light (lower blue dot) steadied at a 15-storey height.
See how engrossed the threesome were? Soon, Isabel and Keziah took turn to control the kite as they had their first lesson in nite kite flying.

The night was still young when we finally reeled in the kite as the wind subsided. So they adjourned to the nearby playground to expend whatever leftover energy they had from the dinner meal...

It was an enjoyable time relating to Bernice's nieces and nephew as they grow into teenagers, and it is our hope that such special moments with their aunt (and me) will add a wholesome dimension in their formative years.

"I wanna come back again!" exclaimed Keziah as we bade farewell to the park. Bernice and I simply looked at each other with a knowing grin...
