Today's my birthday! This year I decided to have it differently by inviting our marriage mentors, Royston and Sin Yow, to join us in the morning for a time of fellowship and prayer. It was refreshing and encouraging to seek God together, to start the new year with God as the center of our focus, and to reaffirm our direction in the Alongsider ministry. Thereafter, we were treated to lunch at Pastamania @ West Coast Plaza.
Back home, Bernice asked if I'd like to have desserts. Of course! And to my surprise she produced a mixed-fruit jelly platter (she woke up around 5.30am this morning to make it! I was touched...)
Further surprise awaited me when I finished the dessert - a hidden message below which reads: Dear My Sweet. Noooo... Bernice protested. "Notice the shape of the platter? It should read: Dear My Sweet-Heart!"
Haha... No wonder the men don't get it! I have yet one more special treat from Bernice, but it'll have to wait till evening. And I think I'll just stop here and let our readers guess what she has in store for me. (grin!)
